[music|Draw Japan - The Horrors]

Sometimes, impatience gets the better of me.
I'll sit at the wooden table in a smoky pub with strobe lights.
I'll smoke and knock the burning cancer stick against the table.
I'll forget that tables are flammable objects.
I'll forget that the gritty red tablecloth has been soaked in years of alcohol.

It always starts slow,
like a burning ember that just gets brighter and brighter.
like the flame that creeps slowly across the table,
they'll devour everything slowly, enjoying the look of horror flashing across your face.
and when it's gone, they'll always hunger for more.
Even when it's all gone, more more more.

By the time I back away, the table's nothing more than a pile of flash.
And the world is falling down upon me.
Exploding glasses and still I'll find another table
I'll sit down and knock back more cheap champagne.
When the world is truly ending,
I'll be pissed drunk finding the escape route.
Only to open the fire escape door and find that it's been bricked up.
There is no door. There is no escape.
There is only death.
And what seems to be only a dream.
I'll blame it on the lack of wisdom.
I was too young to know better.
I still don't because I'll light everything on fire anyday.

somebody, shoot me with starbucks VVIP.

the day I smoke, I'll allow you to hold a pistol to my head and fire.

we've started songwriting. two verses. it doesn't seem more real than this.

Quote of the month:

"…he was so full of wrath against grown-ups, who, as usual, were spoiling everything, that as soon as he got inside his tree he breathed intentionally quick short breaths at the rate of about five to a second. He did this because there is a saying in the Neverland that, every time you breathe, a grown-up dies; and Peter was killing them off vindictively as fast as possible."
